After using a song in class to teach the "yo" forms of irregular verbs in the preterite, my Spanish 2 found it so helpful that they asked to do a project in which they could create song of their own.
One of my favorite examples goes to the tune of Jingle Bell Rock...
Create an illustrated phrasebook to teach someone new to Spanish the difference between ser & estar. Include any rules or tricks to help the reader remember when to use each verb, examples for each situation, and common expressions in which the verb is used. Illustrate your phrasebook with pictures or drawings demonstrating the meaning of each phrase or expression. You can be creative about the form in which you choose to present your guidebook (i.e- create it on the computer, make a collage, create a video or phrasebook). Here is an example from one student:
This student created a rap video using alter egos of the student and teacher roles to illustrate the differences between ser and estar.
